Little Sandy Creek 3 Mitigation Bank

The Little Sandy Creek 3 Mitigation Bank activities results in stream, riparian, and upland restoration and preservation that generate stream mitigation credits to satisfy required compensatory mitigation needed to offset stream impacts in accordance with Section 404 of the Clean Water Act. The bank operates in accordance with the Savannah District USACE March 2004 Standard Operating Procedure for Determining Mitigation In Georgia (SOP) and Section 404 of the Clean Water Act. Credits from this bank are assigned to a particular activity/project and violation resolution when the USACE determines that the satisfying bank credit mitigation is in accordance with Regulatory Guidance Letter for the specific activity/project, or when the bank credit assignment is determined to be satisfactory for resolving a violation of Section 404 of the Clean Water Act.

SIZE AND LOCATION
The LSCMB3, totaling more than 75 acres in size, includes treatment/preservation along approximately 1.5 miles of Little Sandy Creek and associated riparian buffer areas.
