EIP Expands Its Top Notch Team With Three Additions

April 07, 2016

EIP is thrilled to build its sales and marketing team with a natural resources professional who knows firsthand the advantages that mitigation credits can offer to developers seeking permits. Joe Williams comes to EIP with 8 years of permitting, mitigation, and natural resources experience, most recently as Director of Operations for a mitigation banking company. This background, combined with his experience delivering Section 404 and other environmental permits to clients as a consultant at Ecology and Environment, lend Joe a unique perspective on mitigation credit sales, marketing, and market research.

As Assistant Director of Markets at EIP, Joe will work with EIP’s diverse range of credit buyers to deliver our high-quality offset credits from our nationwide portfolio of mitigation banks. Joe will work with permittees and their consultants to structure and close credit sales; and he will maintain EIP’s research databases and manage our collateral sales materials. Joe’s extensive work with regulators and permittees, and some remarkable adventures as a Peace Corps volunteer in Malawi, give him experience collaborating with a broad range of constituents – a skill that will serve him well in his new role at EIP. Joe holds a BS in Integrated Science and Technology from James Madison University and a Masters of Environmental Management and Forestry Degrees from Duke University.

Kaye F. Cosimano comes to EIP with over twenty years of accounting and finance experience and is excited about her now role as Assistant Director of Finance. Prior to joining the team here, she was Director of Business Development for Riparius Construction, managing sales, marketing and business development efforts for the company. Her interest in construction was sparked while she worked for Gilman School as a Project Analyst for the Director of Finance, handling a variety of projects ranging from energy management to facilities improvements to curriculum development for financial education.

During her career, Kaye has used her accounting background at several Baltimore companies while the bulk of her early career was spent in banking and finance. She worked for Bank of America and predecessor banks, for fourteen years, in various accounting functions and, ultimately, as Regional Sales Manager for Small Business Treasury Management. Before this, she worked at T. Rowe Price in the Fund Accounting Department. Kaye received her undergraduate degree from Towson State University and her MBA from Loyola College, Baltimore.

Last, but not least, EIP is pleased to welcome Trygg Danforth back to the team in the role of Assistant Director of Real Estate. Trygg, who is one of the sons of late EIP founder Fred Danforth, served as Analyst and Associate at EIP from 2012-2014, after he was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in 2010. He played first base for one of their farm teams, and might still be a better hitter than anyone else in the environmental investment business.

During his stint at EIP he exceled at financial modeling and due diligence research and led the development of a customized GIS mapping portal and SalesForce database. He then left to pursue his MBA with a concentration in real estate at the Kenan-Flagler Business School at UNC, and rejoins EIP in support of land search and real estate transactions.
