ROCKY CREEK MITIGATION BANK (RCMB) is a 39-acre compensatory mitigation bank located in the Upper Ocmulgee River watershed. It provides stream and wetland mitigation credits for public and private permittees requiring a Section 404 permit.
Restoration efforts at RCMB include Priority 1 and Priority 2 stream channel restoration, reestablishing natural stream flow and stabilizing the banks. Additionally, the project has restored riparian, upland, and wetland vegetation, as well as wetland hydrology through ditch backfilling and stream restoration.
To ensure long-term protection, the site has been permanently preserved under a restrictive covenant and conservation easement.
