The CARDINAL STREAM MITIGATION BANK is located in Union County, North Carolina, approximately seven miles southeast of Monroe. The project focuses on restoring five unnamed tributaries to Buck Branch, improving water quality and ecosystem function. These tributaries flow northeast to southwest, ultimately draining into Buck Branch beyond the project site. Through stream restoration efforts, the mitigation bank will enhance hydrologic stability, habitat quality, and overall watershed health within the region.
