In a newly published report by the USGS and the Department of the Interior titled “Estimating the Economic Impacts of Ecosystem Restoration – Methods and Case Studies” the USGS has found that for every dollar invested in ecosystem restoration, $2.20-$3.40 flows through the U.S. Economy. The study indicates that ecosystem restoration projects provide meaningful economic contributions to local economies and broader regional and national economies.
