Texas Mitigation Solutions, a joint venture between Ecosystem Investment Partners and Mitigation Resources of North America, was selected by the Upper Trinity Regional Water District to be the full-delivery provider of compensatory mitigation associated with the Lake Ralph Hall reservoir project. Lake Ralph Hall will be the state’s newest lake and one of its biggest projects in nearly 30 years. The new lake will be located on the North Sulphur River near Ladonia in Fannin County and will provide a safe, reliable water supply for the communities that Upper Trinity Regional Water District (UTRWD) serves in North Texas. Construction on the lake began in June of 2021, with water delivery scheduled by 2026.
Under the responsibility of Texas Mitigation Solutions, compensatory mitigation at the Lake Ralph Hall mitigation site (immediately downstream and adjacent to the reservoir) will involve approximately 21,000 linear feet of natural channel stream design, construction, planting, monitoring, and maintenance. Construction at the mitigation site is anticipated to start in 2024.
